Bonfire Night 🔥🎆

We have had lots of fun learning about Bonfire Night! We read the story, “Sparks in the Sky” and talked about what we might see on Bonfire Night, including a bonfire, fireworks, sparklers and hot dogs! Some of us then chose to read the book independently.

We added some new words to our vocabulary pyramid. Some words we already know, such as fire and firework, and were some new words, such as bonfire and sparkler. We practised them every day and used the symbols to help us remember them!

During choosing time, we created our own fireworks in lots of different ways. We used crayons, chalks, paint, and even coloured pasta and pipe cleaners!
