Winter ❄️☃️🌨️

Over the past few weeks, we have been learning all about winter. We have learnt that the weather will get colder, the mornings and evenings will be darker, and the leaves have all fallen off the trees. We have also learnt about hibernation and why some animals do this. We have enjoyed learning about winter through stories, play and real objects. 

We then changed our autumn leaves to winter snow on our class tree. We made white handprints and decorated them with glitter and hung them on our tree. 

We have also compared the autumn and winter seasons and discussed their similarities and differences. To do this, we sorted photographs into ‘autumn’ and ‘winter’ categories and talked about the features of each.
